Why is your service expensive?
You're paying to never need me again. Most consultants build it for you and bill forever. I teach you to build it in 3–10 hours, then walk away. The price covers your independence — not my retainer.
Why "fishing rods" and "fishing trips"?
Old proverb: give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach him to fish, feed him for a lifetime. The "rod" is the setup + know-how. "Fishing trips" are sessions where we build more. After the rod, you don't need me — that's the point.
What's a "fishing trip"?
A focused screen-share session where we add a new integration or build out a feature together. Each is typically 60–90 min depending on complexity.
Will you have access to my store, API keys, or Claude account?
No. You type every credential yourself; I never see, store, or use your secrets. You pause your screen-share when entering keys. Non-negotiable.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Claude Code does the coding. You need to be willing to follow along on screen-share, copy commands as I dictate, and ask questions when something's unclear.
What if my integration turns out to be too complex?
That's why the intake exists. If I think it's not feasible within your package's hours, I tell you upfront. We either upgrade, change scope, or you don't pay.
Why don't you just build it for me end-to-end?
Because then you'd depend on me. My approach is teach-to-fish: same setup I run for myself, on your store, with your keys, you driving. You walk out owning it.
Will you ever execute anything on my computer?
No. I don't have remote access, I don't SSH in, I don't run code on your machine. Ever. We meet on Google Meet, I share my screen to demonstrate, then YOU type the same thing on yours. I narrate while you drive.
How do I review what we did after the gig is over?
Every session is recorded — you keep the files. Months later, when you're adding the 5th or 10th integration on your own, you can rewatch the exact moment I explained the pattern. The recordings are your reference manual.
Do I need any technical setup before our first session?
Just a Claude Max subscription, your Shopify admin access, and the API keys for whatever you want to integrate. I'll send a short prep checklist after the free intake so the first session is for building, not setup.
