What do I need before you start?
You need an Anthropic, OpenAI, or other AI provider API key, and either a VPS/server or local machine running Windows, Mac, or Linux. For WhatsApp, a dedicated phone number is strongly recommended. I will handle everything else.
Will this work with my personal WhatsApp number?
It works with any WhatsApp number, but I strongly recommend using a dedicated secondary number or WhatsApp Business account. This keeps your personal messages separate and protects your main account.
Does OpenClaw stay running after setup?
Yes. I configure pm2 or Docker to keep your OpenClaw gateway running 24/7 automatically, even after reboots. You will not need to keep a terminal open.
Can you fix my broken OpenClaw install?
