That is exactly what memoir ghostwriting is. Before I write a single word I spend time understanding how you speak, what you value, and how your story shaped you. The result sounds like you on your most honest day, not like a ghostwriter trying to imitate you.
How do the interview sessions work?
Interview sessions are included in the Premium package. We meet via Zoom or Google Meet for structured conversations where I ask questions designed to draw out your memories, emotions, and the details that make your story vivid. Sessions are recorded with your permission so nothing is lost.
What do I need to provide to get started?
It depends on your package. Basic requires notes, journals, or written materials. Standard works from audio recordings or written Q&A responses I send you. Premium starts from scratch through live interviews. If you are unsure which fits your situation, message me first and we will figure it out.
What if my story is painful or sensitive?
Many of the memoirs I ghostwrite involve grief, trauma, addiction, loss, and recovery. I approach every story with care, discretion, and deep respect for what you have been through. You control what goes in and what stays private. Nothing is written without your full approval at every stage.
Will you keep my story confidential?
Completely. Everything you share with me stays between us. I do not discuss, reference, or share client stories under any circumstances. If you require a formal NDA before we begin, I am happy to sign one.
Do I own the copyright?
Yes, fully. Once the project is complete and payment is settled, all rights to the manuscript transfer entirely to you. Your name goes on the cover. Your story belongs to you.
How long does the whole process take?
Basic delivers in 7 days. Standard in 14 days. Premium in 30 days. For larger or more complex memoirs, timelines are discussed before the order is placed so there are no surprises. Rush delivery is available at an additional fee.
