What does "meeting ACX/Industry standards" mean?
ACX is Audible/Amazon's marketplace for authors, narrators and publishers. Strict guidelines are set relating to volume, noise floor and audio consistency to ensure audiobooks all meet a standardised level. I always make sure my audio quality meets the highest end of these requirements.
Can you do character voices?
My natural accent is RP/General British, which I will most commonly use for narration. But I am able to help bring your book to life with an array of character voices and accents.
How much work is involved in recording an audiobook?
Completing an audiobook is a multi-stage process; I will read the manuscript through, before recording each chapter individually. I then listen back and edit out any errors before cleaning, mixing and mastering the audio. Finally I'll do a last quality check before the audio is ready to go!
