About this gig
I'm an expert level chess player and a life-long learner. I played my first game of chess as an adult at 20 years old. I was awful. When I started, I lost 50+ games against the easiest computer that literally made random moves. Today I spar with (and can beat) National and International Masters.
I know what it took to get good at chess from nothing. I know what it takes for you to break through that next 100 point barrier. I have been through the many highs and lows, and I would be delighted to help you find more enjoyment out of the process of improving at this beautiful game.
There is one thing that you can't get by watching chess videos or reading books, and that is a personal touch. There is huge value in having someone to analyze your playstyle. Let's shine light on your strengths and weaknesses and give you actionable steps for improvement.
I am mostly interested in helping adult learners who want more but are finding it difficult to break into that next level.
