Even if you only collect leads or bookings, Google requires every website interacting with EU users to handle consent properly. Without Consent Mode V2, Google Ads can’t measure conversions for users who reject cookies, reducing your campaign’s data accuracy and Smart Bidding effectiveness.
How is GA4 implemented on Squarespace?
Squarespace doesn’t natively support Google Tag Manager, so I install it using Code Injection in the site’s “Header” and “Footer” sections. This allows me to deploy a container that handles all GA4, Google Ads, and consent-based scripts while keeping your site lightweight and fast.
