FAQ
Do I need services like Iubenda, Cookiebot or Onetrust?
Yes, in order to have your Advanced Consent Mode V2, my recommendation is to work with one the main CMP approved by Google. I suggest to use Iubenda, Cookiebot or Onetrust.
Do you use Server Side tracking?
The Consent Mode V2 doesn't require Server Side tracking to work. If you are seeing discrepancies between your GA4/G Ads conversion tracking and your backed, contact me, so we I can audit your conversion tracking.
What you need to start?
I need access to your Google Tag Manager account and your CMP account (Iubenda, Cookiebot, OneTrust).
Is Consent Mode V2 mandatory?
Yes, since March 2024, Google will be responsible if the advertisers are not respecting the new DMA Law. To prevent this, they will pause the accounts that are not compliant with Consent Mode V2. Consent Mode is mandatory for all the advertisers that are working in the European Economic Area.
I am not using a service from Iubenda, Cookiebot or OneTrust. I need to change it?
Consent Mode V2 can be implemented manually on other services, but I strongly recommend to use one of the Certified platforms to avoid any possible issues with privacy settings and data collection.
I am not sure about how my tracking is working. What I have to do?
If you are not sure about how your tracking is working, I have to audit it in order to customize the proposal to your actual needs. We can connect for a quick videocall (15 mins) and inspect your setup.
Why I have to use Server Side Tracking?
Server Side Tracking is the most effective way to track your conversions, moving the browser-based tracking to a separate server. It's GDPR Compliant and will enhance your tracking with the best technical solutions available.
