FAQ
What types of technical drawings can you create?
I create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings for individual components, mechanical parts, CNC-machined products and assemblies. This includes dimensioned views, sectional views, detail drawings, tolerances, material specifications and manufacturing notes.
Which DIN and ISO standards do you follow?
I follow commonly used technical drawing standards, including ISO 128 for drawing presentation, ISO 2768 for general tolerances, ISO 1101 for geometrical tolerancing and DIN EN ISO 7200 for title blocks. Specific company standards can also be accommodated.
What files do I need to provide before ordering?
You can send STEP, SLDPRT, SLDASM, Fusion 360 files, PDF drawings, DXF files, scanned documents or hand sketches with measurements. The more technical information you provide, the more accurately I can prepare your drawings.
Can you create manufacturing drawings from a 3D CAD model?
Yes. I can convert your existing 3D CAD model into professional 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, annotations, tolerances, material information and other relevant production details.
Can you create a 3D CAD model if I only have a sketch or PDF?
Yes. I can develop a 3D model from your sketch, PDF drawing or supplied measurements. Additional clarification may be required if important dimensions or design details are missing.
Do you provide editable source files?
Yes. Depending on your selected package, I can provide editable DWG, DXF and native CAD files, alongside PDF documentation. Available native formats include SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
Can you create assembly drawings and a Bill of Materials (BOM)?
Yes. I provide assembly drawings with item balloons, component identification and structured Bills of Materials. The number of components depends on your selected package and project requirements.
Can you include GD&T, surface finish and machining specifications?
Yes. I can include geometric tolerances, surface finish symbols, thread specifications, hole callouts, material details and manufacturing notes based on your supplied requirements. Critical functional tolerances should be confirmed by your responsible engineer.
Can you prepare drawings in German or English?
Yes. I can prepare drawing annotations, technical notes, dimensions and title-block information in either German or English. Please specify your preferred language before the project begins.
