Hi, my name is Michael and I've been fascinated with maps since I was a kid. I have 25 years of experience in cartography and I take pride in making maps that are both accurate and attractive.
ABOUT THE GIG
I can perform a wide variety of spatial analysis and other geospatial tasks, such as finding parcels with certain characteristics, finding hot spots and clusters in point data, or calculating drive-time areas. I can also create and convert spatial data, georeference data and images, perform address geocoding, and create elevation profiles. Depending on your needs, the final product could be a map, a list of addresses, a graph or chart, or a data file. I use Adobe Illustrator/MAPublisher, Global Mapper, and QGIS on a regular basis.

I have 25 years of experience designing maps for websites, textbooks, travel guides, universities, and museums. Cartography draws on a lot of related GIS skills, so I also have good knowledge of map projections and extensive experience in collecting, interpreting, editing, and converting geospatial data, georeferencing data and images, spatial analysis, address geocoding, tracing and digitizing, creating elevation profiles, and working with aerial and satellite imagery. I use Global Mapper, QGIS, Adobe Illustrator/MAPublisher, and Manifold System on a regular basis.
