What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude use outside tools and data. An MCP server is the bridge that exposes your CRM, database, or API to the AI in a controlled way.
Which AI apps can use my MCP server?
Any app that supports MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, and many AI agent frameworks. Tell me which apps your team uses and I'll confirm compatibility.
Do I need to be technical?
No. I handle the build and setup and give you a plain-English guide. For local servers, I can install it with you on a short screen-share call.
Can the AI change or delete my data?
Only if you want it to. I usually start with read-only tools, and add write actions only with your approval, plus permission checks and logging.
Local or remote server: which do I need?
A local server runs on one computer and suits a single user. A remote server runs online so your whole team can use it, with authentication. I'll recommend one based on your needs.
Do you deploy it, and who pays for hosting?
For remote servers, I deploy to your own cloud account (Render, Railway, AWS, or a VPS) so you fully own it. Hosting is billed to you, usually a small monthly cost.
Which systems can you connect?
Databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, REST APIs, CRMs like HubSpot, Google Sheets, internal tools, and most systems that have an API.
Is my data secure?
Your credentials are stored as secrets, never in code. The server gets only the access it needs and logs every tool call. I'm happy to sign an NDA.
