I have over a decade of experience in academia and professional editing. While completing a combined BA/MA program in Writing and Publishing, I spent 3 years working as a writing tutor alongside a course load of writing workshops in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. I developed a reputation in workshops for leaving...arguably too many inline comments followed by lengthy summary notes. I now use that same skillset to help primarily romance authors improve their writing through careful line editing.

I am extremely detail-oriented and I love helping writers refine their writing on a sentence level. My training in poetry, in particular, has given me a knack for identifying snags in voice and flow. I can pinpoint WHY a sentence feels clunky and what could strengthen it. I don't believe in telling you what you're "doing wrong". I lead from a place of encouragement and praise. My inline notes tend to be questions and suggestions, rather than prescriptive "fixes". My goal is to help your prose itself to feel as lush and beautiful as your story.
