What information you should provide when you will place order?
I need login to your current host, new host and the domain name/url of the site to be transferred. Please verify the user/pass before you sent me. Sending incorrect login details will add delays to the completion time of the job.
Which sites you can't transfer in this gig?
I transfer almost all kind of hosted sites (except windows based asp.net sites). I can't transfer sites that doesn't provide access to source files. e.g. weebly, shopify, squarespace, wordpress.com, wix and such. So please make sure you are not ordering for these sites. Contact me if you confuse!
Is there anything you need to know before transfer?
If your current site use SSL (https) then make sure you have SSL installed on the destination server. Otherwise the site will stop functioning after transfer. if you need to know anything else, just ask me.
Is there anything you need to do AFTER the transfer?
You'll need to update DNS/ Name Server of your domains after the migration. As in, point the domain to the new server. I can handle this as well. Just ask, and send domain registrar login as well.
Do you transfer SSL?
No. SSL can't be transferred like a website. Your hosting provider will install it for free if you buy SSL from them. But if you bought the SSL somewhere, and hosting somewhere else, then you need to order the gig extra for SSL installation. Please ask me before ordering this.
