Hello, authors!
My role as your beta reader is to approach your manuscript from a seasoned and dedicated reader's perspective. I highlight the strengths and weaknesses, and provide feedback through in-line comments and a detailed overview.
While reading, I ask myself questions such as:
- Does the first chapter grab and hold my attention?
- Are the characters compelling, and do they grow throughout the story?
- Do any areas feel rushed?
- Are any scenes boring?
- Does each scene transition well into the next?
- Does the ending leave me satisfied?
- What are my favourite quotes/ scenes/ moments?
I am an avid romance reader (averaging 100-150 books a year!), and sometimes dabble in mystery, fantasy, and YA, but I am happy to read all fiction genres!
I am offering a flat fee of 100 USD / £75 for manuscripts up to 110,000 words.

FAQ
What does your work include?
I provide in-line comments in the manuscript showing my live reader reactions, and I highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the writing/plot/characters/structure. I also write a 2-3 page overview where I explain my thoughts and offer suggestions.
How should I send my work?
When you place an order, please attach your work in a .doc format.
Do you beta read projects over 110,000 words?
Yes! Please, get in touch and I'll send you a custom order.
What tools do you use?
I use the feature Track Changes on Microsoft Word to provide in-line comments, and I use Microsoft Word to write an overview.
Do you check for typos and grammar?
Copyediting/proofreading is not included, as these takes place later in the editing timeline. You will likely make many edits after receiving feedback from beta readers, therefore, it is counterproductive to edit for typos, spelling, punctuation, and grammar now.
Do you beta read all fiction genres?
Yes! I beta read many fiction genres like Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, YA, Contemporary, and Historical Fiction.
