About this Gig
Ancestry & Family History Brick Wall Research
Family history isn't a straight line. It's a maze with missing census pages, name changes, bad handwriting, and ancestors who clearly did not want to be found.
That's where I come in.
I specialize in brick wall genealogy research - those stubborn ancestors who disappear from records, change names, migrate without explanation, or refuse to show up where they're supposed to. Using structured, evidence-based research methods, I comb my way through historical records to uncover clues, patterns, and likely connections that you or others may have missed.
I can help with:
- Missing Ancestors (US and worldwide)
- Conflicting names, dates, locations, or parentage
- Immigration mysteries
- Using DNA to find ancestors
- Record gaps due to transcription errors or name variations
- Family mysteries
FAQ
Can you guarantee results?
No - and anyone who does is lying to you. What I do guarantee is thorough, ethical research, clear documentation, and honest conclusions.
Do you work with DNA?
Yes. However, I don't interpret raw DNA data, but I can trace your DNA matches and identify potential ancestors and family members.
What records do you search?
Pretty much everything. I research census records, vital records (birth, marriage, death), church & parish registers, immigration + naturalization, city directories, probate + land records, yearbooks, newspapers, and I am open to talking to family members.
