About this Gig
I will write your 400 word press release to announce the launch of your book, eBook, or audiobook which includes placing the cover of your book, a mock ad, and link to purchase the book. Once written, I will distribute to normal and to premium news sites on my roster. Unlike like other gigs here on Fiverr, I only offer the premium level of distribution which includes ABC, NBC, and Fox affiliates, to social media sites, and other news sites throughout the world. I also include a short author bio and your two social media site links such as Facebook or Instagram along with your website if you have one. As per press release distribution policy, all Press Releases must include contact information; therefore I will need your email, phone number, and your website and/or blog listing. Once the gig is completed, I will provide you with a PDF Distribution Report with links to all news sites where your press release was posted.

Where do you distribute the press release?
I distribute to news sites and journalists. I do not distribute to bloggers.
What I need from you to write a press release.
Many writers require lengthy questionnaires from you that waste your time. I only require these things that address the who, what, where, why, and call to action. Remember, a press release is not an article.
Will I get to check the press release before you distribute it?
Yes, after the press release is drafted, you can look it over and review it before it's published. You may also make changes and send it back to me. I do require that you approve the press release before I distribute it.
Can I distribute it myself. Why do I need to go through you?
You do have the option to reach out to each news station individually, but most likely you won't get published because they typically only work with clients who can provide a bulk number of press release per month. I have a data base of 1,000 news sites.
What topics for press releases are allowed?
It can be just a general announcement of your business or book talking about the features and benefits. It can also be any newsworthy topic, for example about a new product you just launched.
How long does the process take?
That is tricky question to answer. It takes a day to write it, then I send it to you for approval. Once approved, I distribute it to the news sites. However, please know that press release distribution does not occur on a Saturday or Sunday.
Will I be published on the main website of ABC, Fox, NBC, CW, CBS etc.?
You won't be published to the main website (for example fox.com) as those are reserved for national headline news. But you will be published to local affiliates such as FOX 21, FOX 34 etc which are the official sites for the TV stations. For example, FOX 34 is for channel 34 in a specific city.
What are the guidelines for press releases?
- The press release must be between 200-500 words. - Your press release can have no more than 1 link per 100 words. - The headline must include the company's name or author - The press release cannot be written like a sales pitch - The press release cannot be derogatory, cover lawsuits, and more.
What topics cannot be included in a press release?
I cannot accept press releases about offensive, objectionable, or illegal subject matter. Guns, alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, legal cases, negative press, loans, multi-level marketing, dating sites, 3rd party companies, and more. For a complete list of banned topics visit AP PRESS GUIDELINES.
