A 2019 N.A.R. report found that of buyers who used the internet (so, pretty much all buyers):

What do you need to write my listing description?
Check how many characters your MLS allows so you order the right gig. Then I need good photos and a list of amenities for the home/area. All of that is covered in a questionnaire after your order. Remember that you know the area and home, so the quality of my work depends on the detail you give.
Will you give a discounted rate to edit my listing description.
Unfortunately I don't because rewriting someone else's work is usually more difficult than starting from scratch. If you want me to use your verbiage for information purposes, please feel free to include it when ordering and I'll use it as reference.
What if I want a longer description to really highlight my listing but my MLS limits character counts?
You can manually post descriptions that override your MLS in portals like Realtor.com and Zillow from your agent account. When I last checked, Zillow allowed at least 550 words (I didn't try for more) and Realtor.com allowed 2,500 characters which is about 400 words.
