I will create multi cavity 3d mold mechanical part design cad model for manufacturing

About this gig
Scale your production and slash unit costs. A single-cavity mold works for prototypes, but mass production requires an engineered Multi-Cavity solution. I design high-performance mold layouts that maximize output and ensure cavity-to-cavity consistency. I don't just design shapes; I provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to ensure your project is production-ready.
What I Offer:
- Multi-Cavity Layouts: Optimized for 2 to 64+ cavities.
- Balanced Runner Systems: Engineered cold/hot runners for even pressure.
- DFM Analysis: Checking draft angles, wall thickness, and sink marks.
- Cooling & Ejection: Integrated channels to reduce cycle time and warping.
- Family Molds: Multiple parts in one mold for assembly efficiency.
Why My Service?
I focus on Industrial Rigor. My CAD files (STEP/IGES) are optimized for CNC machining, focusing on shorter cycle times and thermal stability. Whether for Medical, Automotive, or Consumer Goods, I deliver precision.
How it Works:
- Discovery: We discuss your volume and material.
- Design: Layout created for your machine specs.
- Delivery: Production-ready files for your toolmaker.
NOTE: Every project is unique. Please message me before ordering with your 3D file

FAQ
What plastic material will you be using (e.g., ABS, PP, Nylon) and what is the tonnage of the injection molding machine?
Different plastics shrink at different rates. If they use Polypropylene (PP), your cavities need to be slightly larger than if they use ABS. Knowing the machine "clamping force" (tonnage) ensures you don't design a 16-cavity mold that is too big for their specific machine to hold shut.
What is the difference between a Cold Runner and a Hot Runner?
A Cold Runner is a channel that cools with the part and is ejected as waste (or regrind) every cycle; it is cheaper to build but slower. A Hot Runner keeps the plastic molten inside the manifold, resulting in zero waste and faster cycle times. I recommend Hot Runners for high-volume production (100k
Can you design a mold for different parts in one shot?
Yes! This is called a Family Mold. I can design a layout where different components of the same assembly (like a top and bottom shell) are produced in a single injection cycle.
Will my toolmaker be able to use your files directly?
Absolutely. I provide industry-standard STEP or IGES files, which are compatible with all professional CNC machining and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) software.
