I will do reverse engineering, stl to cad and parametric solidworks 3d model

About this gig
Hello and welcome!
Have a part with no drawings, a discontinued component, or a mesh file nobody can edit? I rebuild physical parts, scan data and STL meshes into accurate, fully parametric CAD.
What I offer:
- Reverse Engineering from Physical Parts
- STL, OBJ & Mesh to Solid CAD
- 3D Scan & Point Cloud to CAD
- Rebuild from Photos & Measurements
- Old 2D Drawings Converted to 3D
- Multi Part Assemblies with Mates
- Technical 2D Drawings with GD&T
- Tolerance & Fit Correction
- Design Improvements & Failure Fixes
- CNC & 3D Print Preparation
- Sheet Metal Flat Patterns
- CAD Repair & Cleanup
What you will get:
- Editable feature tree, never a dumb solid
- Native SolidWorks or Fusion 360 file
- STEP, IGES, Parasolid, STL and 3MF
- Dimensioned drawings with tolerances
- Deviation report against your source data
Service for:
- Obsolete & Spare Parts
- Aftermarket Automotive
- Machinery & Industrial Equipment
- Castings, Housings & Fixtures
- Furniture & Consumer Goods
Complexity varies enormously between parts, so please send photos and message me before ordering for an accurate quote.
Send your scan, STL or photos today and let's rebuild it properly.

FAQ
How is this different from simply converting an STL?
A conversion gives you a frozen solid you cannot edit. I rebuild the geometry with real sketches, features and design intent, so changing a hole size or a wall thickness later takes seconds, not a full remodel.
How accurate will the finished model be?
From good scan data I typically hold within 0.05 to 0.1 mm on critical features and supply a deviation report. From photos and callipers, accuracy depends on your measurements, which I verify with you first.
I do not own a 3D scanner. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most orders start from clear photos taken on grid paper plus calliper readings on the key dimensions. I send you a short shot list and a measurement sheet so nothing important is missed.
Can you reverse engineer an assembly, not just one part?
Yes. I rebuild multi-part assemblies with correct mates and clearances and deliver an assembly drawing with a ballooned BOM. Pricing is by part count, so send photos and I will quote the exact scope.
Can you improve the part while rebuilding it?
Yes. I can add draft, reinforce a known failure point, change wall thickness, or adapt the geometry for CNC or 3D printing. Tell me why the original failed and I will design the correction in.
Some features on my sample are worn or broken. What then?
I flag every ambiguous area and ask rather than guess. Where a surface is damaged, I reconstruct it from the symmetry, the mating part or a standard feature size, and document exactly what I assumed.
Do you work with point cloud data?
Yes. I accept point clouds and mesh formats from most handheld and structured-light scanners. Send a sample file before ordering and I will confirm the data density is sufficient for a clean rebuild.
Can you produce manufacturing drawings as well?
Yes. Dimensioned 2D drawings with GD&T, surface finish callouts and tolerances are included in Standard and Premium, formatted so a machine shop can quote and cut without further clarification.
Why do you ask buyers to message before ordering?
Because a casting and a flat bracket take wildly different amounts of time. Photos let me judge the real complexity, put you on the correct package, and quote fairly rather than guessing from the gig price.
What do you need from me to get started?
Photos from six angles, calliper measurements on key features, the part material and its function, and any component it must mate with. Send these and I will confirm feasibility before you order.
