I will build and document a pfsense or opnsense firewall with VPN and vlans
AI Automation Engineer, Private LLMs, Alerting, Network Security
About this Gig
Your firewall is the one box where good enough is not. I build pfSense and OPNsense firewalls the way I run my own 24/7 production network: every rule documented, every decision explained, nothing left as a black box.
Background: B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, ten years in the semiconductor industry, and a production network I engineer and operate myself - multi-WAN pfSense, policy-routed WireGuard tunnels, VLAN segmentation, Graylog SIEM, threat-feed blocking. New to Fiverr, not to this work.
Every package includes:
- Plain-English documentation of every rule, written for whoever maintains it next
- Full admin access and ownership stay with you
- Direct US-based communication throughout
Basic: an async audit - I review your exported config line by line and deliver a written report with prioritized fixes. No access to your network needed.
Standard: a complete live build - hardened ruleset, WireGuard or OpenVPN remote access, DNS filtering, VLAN segmentation, threat feeds, switch config.
Premium: small-office build - multi-WAN failover, policy routing, site-to-site or Tailscale overlay, network diagram, runbook, 14 days of support.

FAQ
How does giving you admin access work? Is it safe?
All work is remote. You create a temporary admin account and can watch every change live over screen share. I document each change as I make it. You get exported config backups before I start and after I finish; then you rotate passwords and delete my account - I keep nothing.
What hardware do I need?
Anything that runs pfSense or OPNsense: a Netgate or Protectli appliance, a mini-PC with two NICs, or a VM. If you have not bought hardware yet, message me before ordering and I will recommend a right-sized option for your internet speed and budget.
What do you need from me to start?
Your ISP details (connection type, static or dynamic IP), a rough inventory of the network (devices, cameras, servers, remote workers), how you will grant access, and any hours the network must stay up. The order form walks you through all of it.
What support do I get after delivery?
Premium includes 14 days of post-delivery support for tuning and questions. Every tier ships with documentation of every rule, so you or any future admin can maintain the firewall without me. Need help later? Message me or book a follow-up order.
Do I own everything when we're done?
Completely. You hold the admin credentials, and I hand over exported configuration backups, any scripts, and the full documentation. Nothing is locked to me, and there are no recurring fees to keep your own firewall running.
Why are your prices higher than other firewall gigs?
You are paying for a production deployment, not a checklist run: a tested, hardened ruleset, documentation a future admin can actually use, and a US-based engineer who explains decisions in plain English. A firewall misconfiguration costs far more than the price difference.
