Maybe you've written a book, or you're in the process of writing one, but you need help. Your stuck or don't know where to begin with revisions. What now?!
Don't worry! That's where an evaluation edit can come in handy. :)
An evaluation edit includes:
- Line editing (writing) feedback
- Writing advice
- Developmental editing (structural) feedback
- Story/Message advice
As your evaluation editor, I will assess what you've written and provide professional feedback and suggestions on how it can improve. Not only will I provide recommendations, but I'll go over HOW you can fix things.
I care for every writer I work with and desire for them to grow! This means I won't just give editing feedback saying, "I don't like this." I will provide advice and actionable steps on how to improve your draft or manuscript.
For fiction, some of the topics I may touch on in my feedback: character development, plot holes, setting, pacing, etc.
For nonfiction, I may focus on other topics such as: research included, style, message, clarity, etc.

Studying engaging writing since 2019, I’ve published 3 books, helped many writers do the same, and have had clients go on to be featured in the news/magazines, reach Amazon’s best-seller list, and receive awards. I've also worked professionally alongside script and documentary writers for Netflix.

Do You Offer Evaluation Editing For Fiction And Nonfiction?
Yes! :) I have studied writing styles both for fiction and nonfiction writing, and would be happy to read whatever you're writing. Reach out if it's a sensitive or research-heavy subject that you want to ask about first.
What Kind Of Editing Style And Feedback Does Your Evaluation Editing Include?
Evaluation Editing is similar to receiving line edits and developmental editing all-in-one. The difference is that I focus my feedback around highlighting the most important suggestions I have to improve a manuscript as a whole. I also focus heavily on providing writing advice to help writers learn.

Whether you've finished your book or just have a draft, I'd still be happy to look it over for you and help provide feedback. Evaluation editing is often considered for early manuscritps, but can still be beneficial at any stage of the writing process.
