When line editing, I do more than just tighten/elevate your writing, I take three things into account: Clarity, Consistency, and Conciseness.

Whether you are writing nonfiction or fiction, these three things are crucial to consider in order for your book to be written well.

• Clarity refers to whether each sentence is easily understandable.
• Consistency refers to ensuring the voice, tone, and style of writing matches throughout the book as a whole.
• Conciseness refers to removing fluff, repetition, and unwanted rhythm within the writing.

When I line edit a book, I provide tracked changes throughout each chapter, as well as giving a short summary at the end of the chapter to highlight anything I thought was done well or needs work.
