About this Gig
I provide thoughtful beta reading and detailed editorial feedback for fantasy, romantasy, dark romance, horror, psychological thrillers, and science fiction.
I read from both reader and editorial perspectives. I track how the story feels and identify what may need strengthening.
Depending on the package, feedback may cover inline reactions, plot, pacing, structure, scene placement, character arcs, relationships, dialogue, romance, worldbuilding, lore, magic systems, clarity, phrasing, repetition, basic grammar, and revision ideas.
Projects commonly receive 150 to 500 inline comments and a 4 to 12 page reader report, depending on length, complexity, and package.
I explain what works, what pulls me out of the story, where confusion arises, what excites me, and where the manuscript could go deeper. When helpful, I offer solutions while respecting your voice and intentions.
I flag noticeable grammar and phrasing issues, but this is not a comprehensive copyedit, line edit, or proofread. Every manuscript is read personally, and all feedback reflects my own analysis and reader experience.

WHAT TYPE OF FILE DO YOU ACCEPT?

DOES THIS INCLUDE COPYEDITING OR PROOFREADING?
I flag noticeable grammar, wording, clarity, and phrasing issues and may suggest alternative wording as I read. However, this is not a comprehensive copyedit, line edit, or proofread, and I do not guarantee that every sentence-level error will be identified.
HOW MANY IN-LINE COMMENTS WILL I RECEIVE?
Comment volume depends on the manuscript’s length, condition, and selected package. Complete projects commonly receive approximately 150–500 in-line comments covering reader reactions, story craft, clarity, and revision opportunities.
HOW LONG WILL MY READER REPORT BE?
Reports generally range from 4–12 pages depending on the manuscript’s length, complexity, and selected package. Reports discuss strengths, concerns, reader experience, and actionable revision priorities.
WHAT DOES ONE REVISION INCLUDE?
A revision covers reasonable clarification or correction of the delivered feedback. It does not include rereading a revised manuscript or providing a second full round of editorial feedback.
