Will the application work on Mac or Linux?
No. Windows Forms (WinForms) is a technology designed specifically for the Windows ecosystem. If you need a cross-platform solution, please contact me beforehand to discuss other alternatives, but this Gig is 100% focused on native Windows applications.
Do you include the source code?
The source code is included in my [Standard/Premium] packages. In the Basic package, I only provide the ready-to-use executable file. If you need the code in the Basic package, you can add it as an "Extra Gig" when placing your order.
What do I need to give you to get started?
I need a detailed description of the logic you want (what the app should do), the necessary data fields, and if you have any diagrams or sketches of how you want the interface to look, that would be a great help! If the app uses a database, please confirm your preference (SQL Server, SQLite, MySQL,
What happens if I find a bug after the order is closed?
Don't worry! I offer 15 days of free support after final delivery to fix any bugs or code errors that weren't caught during the reviews. This doesn't include adding new features, just ensuring that everything works perfectly as agreed.
Do I need to have Visual Studio installed to use the app?
Not at all! I'll give you an .exe file or an installer. You'll just need to have the corresponding .NET Runtime installed (which usually comes with Windows or can be downloaded in a minute) for the application to run smoothly.
Can you work with cloud-based databases or only local ones?
I can work with both. For simple tools, I recommend SQLite (on-premises), but if you need access from multiple locations, we can integrate SQL Server or MySQL in the cloud. Please see the Premium package for complex database integrations.
