About this gig

Squarespace's native editor has real limits: no custom card layouts, no true typography control, no way to build the design system your brand actually needs. I write custom CSS/HTML code blocks to get past those limits.

Recent work: rebuilt a full editorial site's plain-text content into a custom card system with a consistent color palette via CSS variables, custom serif/monospace typography, responsive breakpoints, and a custom navigation menu built from scratch. Along the way, I also caught and fixed real bugs (a CSS variable conflict, a Fluid Engine mobile rendering issue) that the native editor didn't surface on its own.

Whether you know exactly what you want built, or just have one broken thing that needs fixing fast, that's what I do.

I bring an accessibility-conscious eye to layout and content: clear structure, readable hierarchy, no unnecessary visual noise. That comes from years of working with autistic children and adults.

I'm easy to communicate with throughout the project. I'll ask clarifying questions upfront and keep you updated as the work progresses.

I make Squarespace sites look the way they should have looked all along. I customize and fix Squarespace sites with HTML and CSS: layouts the built-in editor can't do, Fluid Engine and mobile bugs, and colour palettes and typography that give a site its own personality. I came to the web from literature, so I care about structure and reading order as much as looks. Years of working with autistic children taught me that different minds move through a page differently, so I build with accessibility in mind. Recent work: a custom card system for a writer's editorial site (see my portfolio).
