Conversion API is a tracking method where your website sends data directly from the server to Meta (Facebook). Unlike browser tracking, it works even if cookies are blocked or users use ad blockers. This ensures more accurate tracking and better ad performance.
Why do I need both Meta Pixel and Conversion API?
Using both browser tracking (Pixel) and server tracking (CAPI) together improves Event Match Quality, gives you more reliable data, and helps recover lost tracking caused by iOS 14+ restrictions or ad blockers.
How does server-side tracking differ from browser-side tracking?
Browser-side tracking uses cookies in the user’s browser, hence, data can be blocked. On the other hand, Server-side tracking sends data directly from your server to Meta, so tracking is more accurate. We recommend implementing both for maximum accuracy.
