I will integrate openai, claude, or ai agents into your ruby on rails app

About this gig
Want your Ruby on Rails app to work with Claude, ChatGPT, or AI agents? I build it properly: AI that can only do what you allow, approval before anything important happens, and clean Rails code your team can maintain.
WHAT I CAN BUILD
- AI features inside your app: content generation, classification, summaries, support reply drafts (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini)
- MCP servers so AI assistants can read and act on your data: catalog, orders, inventory, CRM records
- AI chatbots that answer from your own documents, help pages, or database, with sources shown (retrieval-augmented generation, RAG)
HOW I WORK
Message me first with what you want the AI to do, in plain words. I will tell you what is realistic, what it involves, and quote it. I work on existing codebases as often as new builds. You keep your own OpenAI or Anthropic account; I set it up.
WHY ME
7 years in Ruby on Rails and React, 5 in the Shopify and BigCommerce ecosystem. My open-source MCP and AI projects are in my profile portfolio, so you can see the code quality before you order. Code samples on request.

FAQ
Can you integrate ChatGPT into my existing Rails app?
Yes, that's the Basic package.
What is an MCP server and do I need one?
If you want Claude or ChatGPT to look things up or take actions in your system, yes. If you just want AI-generated text in one form, you don't.
Do you work with Python/Node?
Rails is my specialty; I'll say so upfront if your stack isn't a fit.
Who pays for the AI API usage?
You do, on your own OpenAI/Anthropic account. I'll set it up.
Can the AI answer questions from my own documents or data?
Yes. That's a RAG setup: I index your content (PDFs, help articles, product data, database records) so the AI answers from it and cites where the answer came from, instead of making things up.
