What is a UK Registered Design Patent?
A UK Registered Design (often called a design patent) protects the appearance of your product, including shape, configuration, and ornamentation. It does not protect functionality—just the visual design.
What documents do I need to provide?
Ideally, you'll need clear images or drawings of your design from multiple angles (front, back, sides, etc.). If you don’t have them, I can help create or edit them professionally. Other things are mention in 2nd image.
Can I include more than one variation of a design in a single application?
Yes! In most cases, you can submit up to 30 designs in one application if they're in the same Locarno class. I will guide you based on your specific case.
Will you file the application on my behalf?
Yes, I will handle the full filing process with the UK IPO, including submitting the application and uploading the images in the correct format.
How long does the registration take?
Once filed, your design is typically registered within 1-2 weeks if no issues arise. Publication can be immediate or deferred (if you choose confidentiality for up to 12 months).
Do I need a UK address to register a design?
Since January 1, 2021, a UK address for service is required. If you're outside the UK, I can assist you with this as well—just contact me before ordering.
Will you help with editing or improving my design images?
Yes! I provide professional editing and formatting for design drawings or product photos to ensure they meet UK IPO standards.
Does the filing fees included in the pacakage?
No, filing fees is separate and mention in gig description.
