FAQ
What is NestJS and why do you use it?
It is a Node.js framework that enforces structure, so code stays organised as a project grows. It is what teams use for backends they intend to maintain for years. I can also build in plain Express if you prefer.
Can you work with my existing backend?
Yes. Adding endpoints, refactoring or fixing an inherited codebase is often cheaper than starting over. Send me the repo and I will tell you honestly which makes more sense.
Do I own the code?
Completely. You get the repository and full rights. I sign an NDA on request.
Will you connect it to my frontend?
The API ships with Swagger documentation so any frontend developer can use it. If you want me to build the frontend too, I have a separate Vue gig and can quote both together.
How do I know how many endpoints I need?
You do not need to. Describe what your app should do and I will map it to endpoints and tell you which package fits before you order.
Are tests really included in the cheapest package?
Yes. An API without tests is one you cannot safely change later. Writing them alongside the code costs me far less than retrofitting them, so they are in every package.
Why is this more expensive than a 50 dollar API gig?
Those deliver endpoints and nothing else — no docs, no tests, no Docker, and often no thought about the data model. You get a repo you cannot hand to another developer. Mine ships documented, tested, containerised, scalable and maintainable.
What happens on the handover call?
I walk you through the structure, the data model and how to run and extend it, and answer whatever you want to ask. Included in every package, and optional.
