Why Email Octopus instead of Mailchimp?
Cost, mostly. Email Octopus is free for up to 2,500 subscribers and a fraction of Mailchimp's price above that, with no per-contact billing surprises. The trade-off is fewer guardrails, which is exactly why setup and authentication matter more here, not less.
Will my emails land in the inbox?
That's what I protect first. Since 2024, Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft reject unauthenticated bulk senders outright. I configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your sending domain and run an inbox placement test before you send anything real.
Do you design the emails too?
Yes. I'm a designer as well as an email marketer, so templates are custom-built to your brand colours, fonts, and layout, also mobile-responsive and tested, not generic drag-and-drop defaults.
I already have a list somewhere else. Can you bring it over?
Yes, list import and cleaning are included in Premium. If you're moving a large or complex account with automations and years of segments, message me first, because that's a bigger job than this gig and I'll scope it properly.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to your Email Octopus account (or I'll help you create one), DNS access for your domain or a developer on standby, your brand assets, and a list of what you want automated. I send a short checklist the moment the order starts.
