FAQ
Do I need to buy the server, or do you provide it?
You own the server (so you keep full control and there's no lock-in). If you don't have one, I'll recommend the right size and provider for your tool and budget, and the "VPS setup from zero" extra covers getting it ready.
What access do you need?
SSH access to the server (root or sudo). I'll walk you through creating a temporary access key if you're not sure how — and you can revoke it the moment we're done.
Which tool should I choose — Grafana, Metabase, or Superset?
Quick guide: Metabase for business users who want to click around sales/marketing data; Grafana for metrics, monitoring, and time-series; Superset for advanced SQL-heavy analytics; NocoDB/Baserow if you want an Airtable-style spreadsheet-database. Message me your use case and I'll confirm.
Will my data and dashboards survive a server reboot or crash?
Yes — persistent volumes are configured in every package, and Standard/Premium add automated off-server backups so even a dead VPS doesn't lose your work.
Can you connect it to my existing database?
Yes — that's the Premium package. PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, BigQuery, Redshift, Google Sheets, CSV files, and most anything with a connector.
My existing installation is broken / needs upgrading. Can you fix it?
Usually yes. Send me the tool name and the error, and I'll quote a repair — often it's a Basic-package job.
