About this gig

My name is Morgan Maassel. I am studio musician based out of the Nashville, TN area who would love to work with you on your next project! I've had experience playing in many different genres including (but not limited to) country, pop, rock, and jazz.

In addition to my multi-genre experience, I am classically trained and hold a violin performance degree from Belmont University. This means that I have developed masterful technique, and I am able to bring this to the table no matter what genre I'm playing in.

I record all of my tracks in a quiet room dedicated to recording with my Blue Baby Bottle SL. I can read written music, chord charts, or improvise! Chord charts will make me work faster, but they are not necessary. If you need professional strings/fiddle, I would love to work with you on your next project!

I've dabbled in session work for 10 years. I have experience both in and out of the studio. I've played on cinematic works, classical pieces, fiddle/country tunes, and pop songs. I absolutely love the creative process when it comes to sessions, and I am able to improvise or read sheet music/charts.
