I will consult on third party api integration architecture
About this gig
Most teams underestimate what it costs to depend on somebody else's API - until the first provider goes slow in production and takes the page down with it.
I lead the backend of a platform where one user search fans out over gRPC to eleven third-party provider connectors and streams 1,000+ live results in under ten seconds, the first in about four.
WHAT YOU GET
A written integration plan for your case: which provider APIs you actually need and what each will require of you, how to normalise responses from providers that agree on nothing, how to handle timeouts, retries and stragglers so one slow provider cannot hold your page hostage, where the rate-limit and per-call cost traps are, what to cache and for how long, how to test against a sandbox you do not control, and a schedule you can hold someone to. Plus a live call to walk through it.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Teams choosing between providers, or between going direct and using an aggregator. Products whose integration stalled halfway. Anyone whose working integration is slow, flaky or expensive.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
Planning, not a finished build. The build is scoped after we talk. Message me and I will quote it.

FAQ
Will you do the actual integration, not just the plan?
Yes, but not through this gig. Provider contracts, approval stages and licensed APIs differ so much that a fixed package would be wrong for both of us. Message me after the plan and I will quote the build properly.
Do I need API access or a signed contract before we talk?
No, and that is often exactly what the plan is for. If you have not signed yet I will tell you what each provider will ask of you, and what it will cost, before you commit to anything.
What do you need from me for the Premium prototype?
Sandbox credentials or a test API key, and someone who can answer questions about your side. Without sandbox access I can deliver the plan but not a running connector, so tell me your access situation before you order Premium.
Which provider should I choose?
It depends on your markets, your volume, and the commercial relationships you already have. Anyone who answers that without asking those three things is guessing.
Do you know my industry?
The failure modes are the same everywhere: fan-out, normalisation, timeouts, rate limits, reconciliation. I have shipped this at scale in travel, and built backends in insurance, banking, energy, HR and e-commerce. If your domain has a rule I do not know yet, I will ask rather than assume.
What if my developer disagrees with your plan?
Good - bring them to the call. A plan that cannot survive your own engineer's questions is not worth having.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, happily, before you share anything commercial.
How does the call work, and what are your hours?
Zoom or Google Meet, recorded if you want it, with the written plan in your hands first so the call is questions rather than presentation. I work GMT+6: a full afternoon of overlap with Europe and most of the working day with the Gulf.
