What information do you need to get started?
I need your current hosting login (cPanel or SFTP), your new hosting account details, domain registrar access (for DNS), and your WordPress admin login. If you're not sure about any of these, just message me — I'll walk you through it.
Will my site go offline during migration?
No. I use a staging-first approach — your site stays live on the old host while I set up and test everything on the new one. DNS is only switched after you've previewed and approved the new copy. Zero downtime.
Can you migrate a WooCommerce store?
Yes. WooCommerce migrations require extra care — orders, customer accounts, payment gateways, coupons, and shipping settings all need to be verified. I run a test order on the new host before switching. Your store keeps processing orders throughout.
Will I lose my Google rankings after migration?
Not if it's done correctly. I preserve your URL structure, maintain all existing redirects, verify the XML sitemap, and update Google Search Console. SEO-safe migration is part of my standard process.
Can you migrate my site to any hosting provider?
Yes — I work with all major hosts including Cloudways, SiteGround, Kinsta, WP Engine, Bluehost, HostGator, DigitalOcean, AWS, and others. If your host supports WordPress, I can migrate to it.
What if something breaks after migration?
Every migration includes post-migration support (7-30 days depending on your package). If anything breaks that's related to the migration, I fix it at no extra cost. I also keep a full backup of your original site as a safety net.
Can you handle large sites (10GB+ database, lots of media)?
Yes. I've worked with large WordPress and WooCommerce databases. For sites over 5GB, choose the Premium package which covers up to 15GB across up to 3 sites. For anything larger, message me for a custom quote.
Do you handle DNS and SSL setup?
Yes — DNS configuration, nameserver updates, SSL certificate installation, and HTTPS verification are included in every package. I also verify email delivery (MX records) so your email doesn't break during the switch.
Can you fix a broken migration done by someone else?
Yes. I regularly rescue migrations that went wrong — broken pages, missing images, database errors, SSL issues, email failures. Message me with what happened and I'll assess the situation.
How long does the migration take?
Basic migrations (small sites) complete in 1-2 days. Complex WooCommerce stores or multisite networks may take 3-5 days. I always pad the timeline — delivering early is better than rushing and breaking something.
