1. How long have you been working with E-commerce Sellers?
I have been directly/ indirectly involved in E-commerce for more than 3 years. My experience includes working full time for an online store company, then creating my own store, which I later sold off and so on. So, I know all the ins and outs and complexities of the e-commerce business
2. How do I give you access to my QuickBooks Online or Xero?
Login into your QuickBooks Online account. On the right top, click the "Gear icon (cogwheel) -> Manage Users -> Accounting Firms -> Invite". Login into your Xero account. From settings you need to add a user (at least standard or admin as per working need).
3. How can I benefit from your expertise in E-commerce?
First of all, calculating true profit margins of each product can be very difficult due to a lot of costs involved. However, with my experience, not only will I be able to accurately calculate your true margins but will also compare it with the industry standard.
4. Are you available for a monthly and long term basis or long term and what is your time zone?
Of course, We are available for monthly and long term bookkeeping as per your need.Our time zone is GMT+6 but we are always trying to fix a convenient time for interaction as per the client’s schedule.
5. My Bank/Credit Card account is connected to QuickBooks. Then why you need statements in PDF format?
Even your Bank/Credit Card is connected to a QBO account. We will need statements for cross-check transactions with QBO or Xero register, reconciliation and adjusting PayPal/Stripe fees appropriately.
6. Usually what information is required to perform a bookkeeping job?
We need accounting firm access to QBO or Xero account, bank, credit card & Loan statements along with all sales and purchase data in the right format. Requirements vary from client to client depending upon the nature and workflow of business.
7. How do you categorize expenses and Income without knowing my workflow and business?
We use bank/credit card statements for analyzing the nature of the transaction. But we don’t rely wholly solely on description and QuickBooks artificial intelligence. If needed we will ask you about the purpose of the transaction by preparing an excel queries sheet.
8. How can you integrate Amazon/other stores data with Quickbooks/Xero?
There are a lot of integrations available in the market. Some common ones are A2X, Webgility, etc. However, if you're a new store owner with low sales volume, then you don't need to pay for high subscription costs of integration softwares, manual data entry is better.
9. How do I share Amazon/Shopify/Ebay or other stores' sales data with you?
The most convenient for a majority of my clients is to add me as a user to their stores (with limited access). However, if you feel you're not comfortable with it, you can download and share Seller central/other platforms reports.
10. Is confidentiality guaranteed?
Yes, this is an ethical issue for a professional. Your data is secure, and I also suggest that to make a privacy agreement.
