FAQ
What is Google Consent Mode V2 and Is it important?
Yes, since March 2024, Google will be responsible if the advertisers are not respecting the new DMA Law. To prevent this, they will pause the accounts that are not compliant with Consent Mode V2. Consent Mode is mandatory for all the advertisers that are working in the European Economic Area.
What you need to start?
I need access to your Google Tag Manager account and your CMP account (Iubenda, Cookiebot, OneTrust).
What are the two main modes of Google Consent Mode V2?
Basic Consent Mode: Disables Google tags (like those for Ads and Analytics) from collecting data until consent is granted. Advanced Consent Mode: Allows sending anonymized "pings" even without consent, enabling limited data collection and conversion modeling for Ads and GA4.
What are the benefits of using Consent Mode V2?
1. Compliance with privacy regulations 2. Continued use of Google Ads and Analytics even with limited cookies 3. Data collection transparency and user control 4. Conversion modeling for lost data due to consent denial
I am not sure about how my tracking is working. What I have to do?
If you are not sure about how your tracking is working, I have to audit it in order to customize the proposal to your actual needs. We can connect for a quick videocall (10 mins) and inspect your setup.
