Hi I am Salman, a 2000-rated chess coach with district-level tournament experience and 1+ year of private coaching. I specialize in helping players rated 500–1700 break through plateaus and see real improvement fast.

Do you coach complete beginners or kids?
Absolutely - beginners and kids are actually my favorite students to coach. Starting from scratch means we build everything the right way. I adjust my pace and style to match the student's age and level.
How do you build a traning plan for me?
Before we dive in, I assess your current level by reviewing your recent games. From that I can quickly identify your weaknesses. Whether it's tactics, opening mistakes or middlegame planning, I build a session plan to fix the exact weaknesses.
Can you recommend openings that fit my style?
Yes! This is one of my favorite parts about coaching. Rather than forcing you to learn popular but complex openings, I study how you naturally play and suggest openings that suit your style.
How do you actually improve my thinking process?
By going deep into your game analysis, I get a clear picture of how you think during a game - where your calculation breaks, when you stop looking for better moves and what kind of positions confuse you. From there I create targeted exercises specific to get rid of those weaknesses.
What platforms do you use for sessions?
Sessions are held on Lichess or Chess.com with a shared analysis board, and we connect using zoom or google meet for screen-share or video. All you need is a device and an internet connection, I handle everything else and send you the session link before we start.
