About this gig

Get your laboratory analyzer talking to your LIMS properly, reliably, and in a way that survives a power cut. I build custom instrument drivers and middleware for clinical laboratories.

Analyzers I've interfaced with or can interface:

  • Hematology: Sysmex (KX-21, K-1000, XN-series), Mindray BC-series
  • Chemistry: Roche Cobas, Abbott Alinity, Beckman DX
  • General: anything that speaks ASTM E1394 / LIS1-A / LIS2-A or HL7 v2

How it connects:

  • Serial (RS-232), TCP/IP, or file-drop
  • Bidirectional (test ordering + result upload) where the analyzer supports it
  • Unidirectional (result upload only) as a fallback
  • Queued, retry-safe, with full message logging for audits

Deliverables: the interface code, a configuration guide for your biomeds, sample runs captured against your analyzer (or a simulator if we can't access it), and integration with your LIMS (SENAITE, Beak LIMS, or others).

I build software for healthcare laboratories, clinics, and data-heavy backends — the kind that has to keep working when the internet drops and the power cuts out. 5+ years, 100+ labs deployed across, MSc Data Science. Core stack: Python/FastAPI, GraphQL, Vue 3, Angular, PostgreSQL, SpringBoot, Nextjs/React. Specialisms: Full stack systems development, systems integration using HL7/FHIR integration, analyzer interfacing (ASTM/HL7). If you've got a weird integration, a broken system, or a backend that needs to actually scale
