What do you need from me to start the migration?
For a Wix to WP migration I need login access to your Wix account, your WordPress hosting login or cPanel credentials, and your domain registrar access if we're pointing the domain. If you don't have hosting yet, message me first and I'll guide you through getting set up it takes about 10 minutes.
Will my Wix site go down during the migration?
No. Your Wix site stays completely live while I build the new site separately. I only switch the domain over once you've reviewed the new site and given me the go-ahead. There's no downtime for your visitors.
Will my content look the same after migration?
All your pages, text, and images transfer over. The layout will be rebuilt in Elementor to match your current design as closely as possible. Wix and WordPress handle design differently, so there may be minor adjustments but you'll review everything before the job is closed.
Do I need to buy WordPress hosting before ordering?
Not before messaging me. Message me first and I'll tell you exactly what to get. I usually recommend Hostinger or SiteGround both are cheap, reliable, and easy to work with. I can walk you through the signup if needed.
Can you migrate an AI-built website like Lovable, Replit, or Durable to WordPress?
Yes. I handle migrations from AI website builders including Lovable, Replit, Durable, and Hostinger AI. These are a bit different from Wix migrations message me with your site URL and I'll confirm the best approach and package before you order.
Will my Google rankings be affected after migration?
Minor fluctuations are normal after any migration. To minimise impact I preserve your existing page titles and meta structure, and the Premium package includes 301 URL redirects so Google follows your content to its new location. Most sites stabilise within 2–4 weeks.
What if something goes wrong after delivery?
Message me directly. I check for issues before delivery, but if something shows up after you start using the site I'll fix it.
