FAQ
Will my server go down during hardening?
No. I work in stages and test each change before applying it permanently. A backup or snapshot is taken before we start, and I always prepare a rollback plan. Downtime, if any, is limited to brief service restarts.
Do you need root access?
Yes, either root or a sudo-enabled user. Share credentials only via Fiverr's secure messaging. I can guide you to create a temporary user just for me, which can be removed after delivery.
Will hardening break my applications?
No. Before touching anything I audit what's running on the server and adapt rules to your stack. Your apps keep working — they just stop being an easy target.
Do you provide a report?
Yes. Every order includes a detailed report listing every change made, why it was made, and how to revert it. Standard and Premium packages include a formatted PDF version.
What if I get hacked again later?
Hardening drastically reduces attack surface but nothing is 100%. With the Premium package you also get 30 days of support — if something suspicious happens, I'll investigate and help you respond.
