What do you need to write my query?
Your table structure (CREATE TABLE scripts or a screenshot), a few rows of sample data, and an example of the result you expect. The clearer the example, the faster the delivery.
Do I need to give you access to my database?
No. In most cases I only need the table structure and sample data. I build and test the query on my own copy, then send it to you.
Can you make my slow query faster?
Yes. Send me the query, the execution plan if possible, and approximate table sizes. I'll find the bottleneck and suggest fixes such as indexes or query rewrites. This is covered in the Premium package or the Optimize queries extra.
Do you work with MySQL or PostgreSQL?
Yes, for queries. My main focus is SQL Server, so please mention your database and version when you message me.
Can you help with my school or university assignment?
I can't complete assignments that will be submitted for grading. I'm happy to explain SQL concepts or review your own query so you can fix it yourself.
