What kinds of material can I submit?
I review screenplays, treatments, synopses, documentary dossiers, pitch documents and other written development material. If your file combines several documents or uses unusual formatting, please message me before ordering.
Do you work with documentary projects?
Yes. Documentary development is one of my principal areas of expertise. I can address structure, point of view, access, protagonists, ethical considerations, use of archive and the relationship between the intended film and its written presentation.
Which languages can you work in?
I can read the material and deliver my report in English, French or Russian. Please tell me which language you prefer for the coverage when placing your order.
Will my project remain confidential?
Yes. Your material and ideas will be treated as confidential and will not be shared, published or used as samples. If your project requires an NDA, please contact me before ordering so I can review it.
What does one revision include?
A revision covers clarification or correction of my coverage report. It does not include reading and assessing a newly rewritten version of your material; that would require a new order or custom offer.
How do I choose the right package?
Choose Basic for up to 10 submitted pages, Standard for up to 40 and Premium for up to 100. These limits refer to the pages you send me, while “pages of notes” refers to the report I deliver.
What are the logline and synopsis options?
A logline is a one- or two-sentence summary of the story. A synopsis is a one-page summary of its principal characters and plot. I provide these only in the packages where they are selected.
Will you rewrite or proofread my material?
This Gig provides professional analysis and developmental recommendations rather than rewriting, formatting or proofreading. If you need direct editing or rewriting of your material, please contact me before ordering so we can discuss whether I can offer the appropriate service.
