About this Gig
My feedback will always be honest and kind. I'm genuinely curious about every book I have the privilege of reading.
What you get as a result is a reader report, as well as comments in the manuscript itself. My comments are mostly in-the-moment reflections, reactions, and questions.
My feedback report is usually about 4-6 pages long. It covers the following categories:
- Plot
- Characters and Relationships
- World Development and Setting
- Dialogue
- Pacing & Flow
If your manuscript is longer than 100K or shorter than 20K just message me for a custom offer.
I mostly read mysteries, historical fiction, romance, and fantasy.
I don't use AI in my work. Please no AI-generated novels either.

FAQ
Will my work be confidential?
Absolutely. Your work will not be shared or distributed to anyone else. I don't use AI in my work, not even those online grammar checkers for my reports. I don't have Copilot in my MS Word either. And I'm always happy to sign an NDA.
Will you read pretty much anything?
The only things I DON'T beta read are: anything AI-generated, erotica, horror, any content that is too disturbing (think way worse than GoT), children's books, and religious texts. My experience in these types of books is limited or non-existent. I DON'T beta read non-fiction now either.
Do you beta read LGBT+ novels?
Yes! A lot. m/m cosy mysteries are one of my favourites :D You writing one of those? Ask me for a discount!
Can you beta read books with sensitive or difficult topics?
Yes, absolutely. I'd appreciate a heads-up, but other than that, send it my way!
Will you be honest with your feedback?
Yes! I’ll always be honest about my reading experience, including anything that confused me, pulled me out of the story, or didn’t work for me. I will always be kind and polite and curious though. It is, after all, only my personal experience.
Can I have a discount?
Yep, sure! I’m always happy to offer discounts for m/m books, fantasy, anything set in Scotland, and stories set in ancient worlds.
