About this gig
I'm Nate Barnes- I've been doing remote drum sessions out of my own studio since 2012, refining the art of multi track drum recording and logging thousands of sessions for clients all over the world. My drum tracks focus on capturing the best performance of the perfect part for your songs, with the goal of bringing your creative vision to life.
My studio is custom built and tuned for recording drums, and features top quality instruments, microphones, preamps, and converters. What you'll get from me are expertly performed and engineered drum tracks from a true music industry pro, ready for professional mixing and commercial release.
Once we're on the same page I'll dial in a custom sound for your track using 18 channels with total kit coverage, and record 3 full takes with variations to choose from.
Check out my audio reels for the full spectrum and caliber of what my drum tracks can bring to your project, and see my FAQ for answers to commonly asked questions.
All I need to get started are basic WAV splits of the track (vox, guitars, drums, bass, etc) and the BPM along with any notes or sonic references you have.

I've been doing remote drum sessions out of my own studio since 2012, refining the art of multi track drum recording and logging thousands of sessions for clients all over the world. My roots are in Rock but I've branched out from there into Pop, Country, Folk, Indie, Americana, and Singer-Songwriter, and I've done drum tracks in just about every genre imaginable.

FAQ
What is your typical turnaround time?
My delivery deadline is set to 7 days, but I can often deliver tracks sooner, depending on current workload. Rush orders with delivery under 24 hours are also available as an add on.
What constitutes a revision?
Some of my packages include revisions- if you have any notes after reviewing the 3 initial takes, I can record a couple more takes with those notes. I dial in custom sounds for each project and ask that revisions are made within 48 hours to keep your sounds intact and the song and parts top of mind.
What genres are you comfortable with?
Fiverr only lets you select 2 genres but I am proficient in many more. I've done tracks in just about every genre including Rock, Pop, Country, Funk,Honky Tonk, Folk, Indie, Americana, Singer-Songwriter, Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, Electronic, EDM, World Music, Latin, Jazz, Asian Pop, and Bollywood
I've already programmed some drums for my song, are you able to record a live version of my programmed drums?
I don't do note for note/ fill for fill recreations of a programmed MIDI part. However, I love taking guidance from a non drummer's part ideas, and temp drums can help me quickly hone in on your vision. I can then add my own flavor and proficiency to it, and elevate the track to its best version.
How many channels of drums do you record? Do you add compression and EQ?
I record 16 total channels with a variety of close mic and room options allowing for a ton of mix flexibility. I only record with a bit of EQ on the way in to give the mix engineer full control over the files, and offer my own advanced drum mixing and processing in my premium "Deluxe Drums" package.
How will my files be delivered?
I'll provide an organized file with takes split into separate folders. Each folder includes all the individual multitrack files along with a stereo WAV of mixed drums. I'll also include an mp3 mixdown of each take with the backing track and a screenshot of my fader levels from the mix.
What type of gear do you use?
Ludwig Drums (various series) Sabian Cymbals (various series) Logic Pro X Universal Audio Apollo X Series Interfaces Neve And API Preamps AEA, Lauten Audio, AKG, Beyerdynamic, Shure, sE Electronics, Miktek, Thomann, Advanced Audio, and Warm Audio microphones
Where can I hear more examples of your work?
Extensive session examples can be heard via this Spotify playlist to get a feel for my style, sound, and genre versatility: https://spoti.fi/3dR5vR4
