RAW & NASTY UNDERGROUND METAL MIXING AND MASTERING
I specialize in mixing and mastering underground black metal, death metal, cavernous doom, and crust punk. I believe in raw energy, real performances, and filthy, uncompromising tones. I dont paste your drums to a perfect grid, and I don't tune vocals into robots. If you do your best at your performance and give me good multi-tracks, I will give you something that you can be proud of! - Custom Re-amping: Send your clean guitar/bass DIs. I will run them through high-gain tube amp heads to get that perfect HM-2 filth or low-end sludge.

I am an audio engineer and musician based in the mountains of Washington state. I've been playing music since the late nineties starting with drums, then guitar, bass, etc... I've been in bands and playing shows for over two decades. I started recording my own music in the early 2000's, and over time started recording, mixing and mastering for other people. This is what I love to do, and I hope to help you with your project!
FAQ
Do you offer free mix previews or test masters?
No. To respect my time and the artists currently in my queue, I do not provide free test mixes or masters. You can check out my portfolio to hear the raw, gritty production style I deliver.
What file format should I send you for mixing?
Please send your multi-tracks/stems as 24-bit WAV or AIFF files. Crucial: All tracks must be exported from the exact same starting point (0:00) so they line up perfectly in my DAW. Include a text file with the song BPM.
Can you fix my drummer's timing or tune my vocals?
No. My studio philosophy focuses on raw, real, and dangerous underground tones. I do not offer heavy drum quantizing to a grid (although I will do minor editing if something is distracting), and I do not use Autotune on vocals. Bring your best authentic performance!
How does the guitar and bass re-amping work?
If you want re-amping (included in Premium or as an extra), you must provide clean, completely dry guitar/bass DI tracks alongside your mic'd tracks. Let me know if you are chasing a specific tone, like Swedish HM-2 filth or low-end doom sludge. I use high wattage, boutique, tube amps.
