About this gig
Nutrition Facts labels are mandatory in the United States for many food products. Even if your company is exempt because of low sales, it is best to provide customer with information about the amount of calories, fat, sodium, carbohydrates, fiber, sugars and protein in a food.
I will provide you with an FDA compliant Nutrition facts label to add to your food packaging. I can work from your recipe or from results obtained via lab testing.
What do I need from you:
1- Container (pouch, box, bottles etc...) size in grams. Pictures will work as well if not better.
2- Serving size. Note that the FDA has a table for Recommended Amount Customarily Consumed. PLEASE DON'T MAKE UP YOUR OWN SERVING SIZE. Check the FDA table for more info: https://www.fda.gov/media/102587/download
3-A copy of the lab results obtained from your supplier or from a lab you used. 4- List of ingredients with amount of each ingredient ideally in grams. If it is in
cups, please find out the equivalent in gram.
Files are delivered in JPEG format so you can add it to your packaging.

What is needed to make a Nutrition fact label?
For the US Nutrition fact label: 1) send your product to a food laboratory so they can run some tests and determine the amount of nutrients (calories, fat, saturated fat, carb, sugar, dietary fiber, added sugar, cholesterol, sodium, protein, Calcium, Iron, Vit D, Potassium).
Is there other another option if lab results are not available?
You provide me with the formula of your recipe and the method you used to get your final product and I can calculate the nutrients if none of your ingredients is a rare or uncommon ingredient in the US. This is not the basic gig price but for some products with common ingredients, it is worth it.
Why can't I choose my own serving size based on what I want to do?
Unfortunately, the nutrition facts panel is based on US food laws. Unless you can show me that your serving size is legal, I will not use it. I want to provide high quality and professional work. You know your product. Please consult the RACC table https://www.fda.gov/media/102587/download.
