Using a video file provided by the client and following specific instructions, I can generate a 3D model with Gaussian Splat technology and integrate it into a web-based 3D scene. These experiences can include annotations, visual effects, sound design, and narration, and can be shared with users via links, embedded pages, or QR codes. The process usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes, since all that’s required is capturing three walks around the object of focus, each at a different height level.
How is the capture logic?
You need to complete three walks around the subject, each at a different height level—low, medium, and high. It’s best to capture each round separately to ensure accuracy and quality.
Where can I capture the object?
To capture the subject, place it at the center of a well-lit environment, preferably with soft shadows, and leave enough space around it so you can walk and keep focus during the recording. The walk should be slow to avoid blurred images—about 1 to 2 minutes around the subject is a good reference.
What is the resolution of the capture?
Use the highest resolution available on your mobile phone (at least 2K, ideally 4K), and choose either portrait or landscape mode depending on the size of the subject.
