Looks Like This Service Is On Hold
I will deliver attractive book covers with optimised web copy and enriched metadata
About this gig
I started designing posters for societies at University College Dublin (UCD) and then
print, CD and DVD covers at the British Standards Institution (BSI). I was then Production
Editor at a small publisher in London, publishing academic and industry textbooks in a
variety of formats across multiple platforms including Amazon and Apple.
While in this role, I gained the following certifications:
- Understanding Copyright (ALPSP, 2020)
- InDesign for Production (Imago Group, 2019)
- Design & Production Overview (Media Training LTD, 2018)
A data enthusiast, I left to become a Data Model Manager at Dimensions, the world's
largest data product for linked publisher data, harvesting big data from the biggest
publishers, as well as data cleaning, analysis and deep insights.
A fiction writer myself, I've sold over 5,000 copies of two titles, driven by strong design,
metadata optimisation and discoverability strategies (as well as great storytelling, of
course!). I now want to help authors stand out in an increasingly crowded online
marketplace through:
- Outstanding, market-aligned cover design
- SEO-charged web copy
- Genre- and market- specific keywords
- Deeply enriched bibliographic metadata

FAQ
Can I provide my own images for the cover?
Yes, but only if they are high quality. Images should be at least 300dpi and provided separately as .png, .tiff and .ai. Any figure lower than 300dpi is likely to be insufficient. You can check the dpi by right-clicking on the image file => properties => details => resolution.
What figure formats is acceptable?
We accept figure files with .png, .tiff and .ai extensions. We advise against .jpg or .jpeg as these are not always suitable for printing. If you are concerned about quality or format, do get in touch.
Should I provide evidence of having received permission for images/artwork I provide?
It is the authors responsibility to obtain permission to use other peoples material, in particular material found on the internet, as it is not necessarily in the public domain. All completed permissions correspondence should be included before commencing the project.
I noticed some typos on the cover. How do I fix these?
There will be two opportunities to provide corrections.
