What exactly does "G-code optimization" mean?
It means analyzing and modifying the G-code file (or the settings that generate it) to improve print quality, reduce print times, fix specific defects like stringing or warping, and achieve the best possible results from your 3D printer.
What files do I need to provide to get started?
I'll need your 3D model (preferably in .STL, .OBJ, or .3MF format), info about your 3D printer (make, model, extruder type, nozzle size), and the type of filament you're using. If you already have G-code and/or have found problems, a detailed description of the issue (with a photo if possible).
Do you work with all types of 3D printers?
I work with most of the common FDM printers such as Prusa, BambuLab, Creality Ender and Elegoo. . The principles of G-code and slicing optimization are similar for most FDM printers.
What slicing software do you use?
I primarily use and am proficient with PrusaSlicer, Cura, BambuStudio and OrcaSlicer, but I can adapt to other slicers if needed by analyzing the G-code they generate or by guiding you through their settings.
My prints take too long. Can you help me speed them up?
Yes, I can optimize slicing parameters to balance speed and quality, reducing print times without significantly compromising the final result.
Can I send you an existing G-code that isn't working well?
Yes, in fact, it's very helpful! I'll analyze your current G-code to understand where the problems are and provide guidance to correct them, or generate a new, optimized G-code for you.
How will I receive the G-code or consultation?
I will provide you with a new, optimized G-code file (if you choose that service), or a detailed report with recommended modifications to your slicing settings. For Premium packages, consultation will happen via text messages or, if agreed upon, a brief call/video call on Fiverr.
How long does it take to get the G-code or consultation?
Delivery times are specified within each package. The goal is always to be as quick as possible while ensuring quality work.
What if the optimized G-code doesn't completely solve my problem?
I'm committed to providing you with the best possible solutions. If, after delivery and revisions, the problem persists, we'll stay in touch to understand if there are other factors to consider, and I'll support you in finding a resolution.
