About this gig

Character Illustration! - ideal for childrens books!


This is for a full colour, watercolour illustration of any child or character. The illustration will be done using traditional means but then fully rendered for our digital world enabling it to be used on websites, print material, social media etc.


Nothing is off limits, I relish the challenge!

I will always sketch the outline first before beginning the final illustration so the final product is 100% what you wanted.

Nicky is a children’s book illustrator with over seven years’ experience creating expressive, hand-drawn artwork. Her work celebrates wobbly lines, organic shapes and tactile mark-making, retaining the warmth and character that bring stories to life. She specialises in picture books and character-led storytelling, with a style full of personality and gentle humour. A former English and Art teacher in Spain and South Korea, she brings a strong understanding of how children connect with language, imagery and character.
