FAQ
Do you have a specialty within the education field?
Yes! My background directly informs the feedback I provide, especially when accuracy and sensitivity matter. My core focus is family–school partnerships and family engagement.
Do you have a specialty within the social work field?
Yes! I draw on real-world social work experience to give feedback that’s accurate and sensitive. My master’s is in clinical social work, with experience in child welfare, family case management, crisis response, and domestic violence support.
What's your author experience? Why should I listen to you?
I'm an indie author with two published novels and a novella (both anthology and standalone). My most recent release hit #1 on Amazon’s Bestseller List. In my day job, I coach and mentor using a strengths-based approach—always leading with kindness, curiosity, and respect for your voice.
Will you highlight what’s working, or just focus on mistakes?
I believe in strengths-based feedback. I’ll highlight what’s working beautifully, along with areas that could be strengthened, to support your overall growth.
Do you use AI?
Great question! I believe AI can be helpful when used ethically as a tool. However, I do not use generative AI when providing feedback. All feedback is based on my lived experience, professional judgment, and deep respect for storytelling.
What format do you accept?
I prefer Word documents (.doc or .docx) because they’re easiest for reading and leaving comments. Google Docs are also fine—just make sure I have view or edit access. If you’re working in PDF or another format, feel free to ask and I’ll let you know if it’ll work for your tier.
Can you work on a tight deadline?
Yes! Rush delivery may be available depending on the project length and my current schedule. Please message me first so I can confirm availability and offer a custom timeline if needed.
Can you help me decide which package is right for me?
Absolutely. Message me with your project’s word count, goals, and any concerns, and I’ll point you to the best tier—or suggest a custom offer if needed.
What if I’m not sure my story is ready?
That’s totally fine! I’ll meet you where you are. Whether you need a gut check or deeper insight, I’ll provide clear, kind feedback to help you take the next step with confidence.
Can you do follow-ups or longer projects?
Absolutely! I offer second-pass reads, feedback on revised chapters, and in-line comments as a $10 add-on (up to 20K words). For longer projects or follow-up reviews, just message me for a custom quote.
